§ 01 · Origin
It started in an apartment on Green Oaks Boulevard.
FirstOak didn't begin with a deed; it began with a lease. A one-bedroom on Green Oaks, the first place that felt like ours even though it wasn't. We learned there that an apartment can be a home for a season; that the address on the box does the work, not the title to the land.
That apartment taught us what to look for when we were finally able to buy: light, bones, neighbors, a street worth walking. So we did. The first oak we planted was a 2023 brick bungalow a few miles west, the place we still call the start.
From there, the grove grew the way groves do: slowly. We bought a second property, a parcel, then opened the door to a small group of patient partners who wanted to build something durable alongside us.
Apartment, then home, then investments. Every oak takes its time.
